With the addition of James Caywood, CP to our team, we are renewing our commitment to patients with Upper Extremity Prosthetics. James brings with him a wealth of experience and is considered a leading expert in the field.

River City is the only practice in our region to offer the state-of-the-art Symphony Aqua System for casting patients. This innovative technology makes it possible to accurately capture a limb's anatomy under full weight bearing conditions. The hydrostatic cylinder replicates the exact forces one would experience while standing in a prosthetic socket so that the impression that is achieved during the casting process, is an accurate representation of the patient's limb under load. The accuracy of the weight bearing impression eliminates the need for cast modifications and enables us to efficiently provide the patient with a comfortable, well-fitting socket.

We are also proud to have been the very first practice in our area to fit a patient with an Ossur Power Knee. Fitted with a motor to compensate for the absence of muscle power, the Power Knee provides a powered swing while walking and a powered lift while standing. It also gives additional support to manage ascents and descents, ensuring that stairs and slopes are more easily handled.
